Back in 1980, Ken began Paradise Pools and Spas as a construction based business in Vicksburg, MS. Just one year later, in 1981, the business had grown enough to open his first retail pool store, also in Vicksburg. In 1984, a second retail pool store was opened in Jackson, MS. A third retail operation was opened in Pearl, MS in the year 2003. The Jackson location was closed and merged with the Pearl location in 2005. Then, in 2007, the Vicksburg operation was sold. Currently the Pearl store, located at 227 S. Pearson Rd. serves most of the central MS area. And, after overseeing the business for over 25 years, Ken has retired. However he remains a key figure within our organization.
Tim started out in the business when he was only 16 years old, providing assistance in the service and construction departments. Then, in 1985, he began to work with his father in the Vicksburg store. He worked and managed all operations in that location until 1999. At that time, Tim transferred to Jackson, MS and began managing the retail and service operations there. He did likewise when the Jackson store merged with the store in Pearl, MS. in 2005. Today, with the Vicksburg location being sold in 2007, Tim serves as Owner/Operator of Paradise Pools and Spas out of the store located at 227 S. Pearson Rd., Pearl, MS.
Kari came to work for Paradise Pools in 2001. She brought with her several years of pool service and chemical knowledge. Working as a sales associate on the counter, Kari helped to organize, build and maintain the retail operations at the Jackson location until 2005. When the Jackson store moved to Pearl, MS in that year, she began to serve as assistant manager. Today Kari serves as Store Manager and oversees all retail and service operations.
Robbie became a part of Paradise Pools in 1997. He started out in construction but in time was moved to the service department. There he worked his way from service assistant to service tech to service manager. He managed all service operations until 2015. At that time he took over managing our construction department. He now oversees all construction operations. In addition, he continues to serve as our longest tenured service technician.
